(English) Yes, however Amazon doesn't let you change the EAN for a similar product already existing on Amazon. Brand and manufacturer should not be a known brand who may already have an existing EAN. To post under your own brand you need brand registration, which you cannot do with our codes because you need your own prefix. However you can post products under a brand name that has 3-4 letters as algorithms allow it without brand registry. If you are trying to create variations of existing products it will not work if the other variations have different code prefix, you will have to create a new product.
Please note that you cannot use codes from another brand if that brand already has registered codes on Amazon. In that situation you must use the original codes linked to that brand. Even if you are the manufacturer, Amazon may require additional documents depending on the product, brand and category. This is exactly what our certificates are for.
When Amazon requests documentation, you can provide the GS1 style certificate included with every purchase. You can generate it after checkout by entering the required information.
To generate your certificate we need two fields from you:
1. Name of the person responsible
2. Name of the company OR brand OR seller that will use the codes (this must match exactly the brand or manufacturer name you entered on Amazon)
You can fill this in and download your certificate immediately after ordering. Amazon usually accepts these documents as long as the brand information matches.
If Amazon shows error 5665, your brand name usually needs approval. This is an internal Amazon process. The fastest solution is often to use a simpler brand name that has not been registered and does not require verification. Short names of three or four letters tend to work best.
If you prefer to keep your chosen brand name, you must complete Amazon's brand approval steps. This is outside our control and not linked to the codes.
